Hotel a Barren Springs

“Literally right off the exit, the Wingate was surprisingly quiet. I was greeted nicely and carts were by the door to bring luggage upstairs. The desk clerk was helpful in sharing directions and breakfast was very good. It was an overall great stay and if the pool heater is repaired next time I travel through, I'll stay again.”

“There were cockroaches in every room and that was all I was able to think about during my short time in the room. First I saw them in the bathroom and killed several thinking that I could control them. I saw at least 15 in the bathroom and killed at least seven there. I then closed off the bathroom to the main room. I tried sleeping on the desk chair but then I saw a couple cockroaches on the desk. I also saw two on the bed and even one in the microwave oven. “Eventhough we booked through Expedia, a warning about the train horns, and noise at wee hours of the night would help with planning to choose this hotel, coupled with paper thin walls. Breakfast was pretty good. Room size, and double sinks were good.”
